In the era of ships, of migration and empire, people travelled the world, but the only way to stay in touch was by letter.

And so there were men called scribes, called letter-writers: you would go to them and tell them what you wanted to say, and they would write it down for you. (And sometimes they would add a few ideas of their own.)

We live now in a more fortunate age. Most people today can read and write. But as we all know, there's a difference between being able to write and being able to write well. And sometimes nothing but the best will do.

That's where I come in. Over the years I've helped people with everything from academic articles to powerpoint presentations to online dating profiles. I've edited essays, cleaned up translations, and transcribed interviews; I can help you meet word limits, prepare your work for publication, make your writing sharp and clear and focused.
